As we're going through the book of Genesis in our #ReadersClub, I realized that Abraham and Isaac had similar flaws and strengths. Isaac told the same "half-truth" as his father Abraham.
Another thing that stands out to me is how Abraham and Isaac did not rest on their oars even in the face of success. They kept moving from glory to glory in spite of all they had achieved.
I also found it amusing that Esau claimed Jacob STOLE his birthright when he, Esau, was the one that SOLD the birthright. There are some people just like Esau. They sold their birthrights and they are now claiming that the birthrights were stolen.
I learnt that delay can be dangerous. Esau did not take Isaac's request to bring him game as an urgent request. If Esau was quick about his assignment, he would have picked what Rebekkah picked to make the meal as quickly as Rebekkah did.

TGD PRAYS 02012018
Here are the prayer points for the 02/01/2018 Prayer Session.
1. Pray that the Lord restores all the beautiful plans He has for our lives that the enemies have distorted in Jesus’ Name.
2. Pray that the Lord will help us wait for our day of glorification in Jesus’ Name.
3. Pray concerning the situation you're facing. Pray for God's mercy and ask that His power destroys every yoke you're dealing with, in Jesus' Name.
4. Pray that the Lord turns every captivity into freedom and breaks every limitation in our lives in Jesus’ Name.
5. Pray that the Lord will save, deliver and totally set free all those who are under the affliction of depression in spite of the arrows shot by the enemy, in Jesus’ Name.
6. Pray that the Lord exposes and uproots any form of pride in any of us that will cause Him to resist such a person, in Jesus’ Name.
7. Pray that the Lord exposes and uproots any act of disobedience that may have caused any of us to be defeated in the battles of life. Pray that such a person repent from (FORSAKES) whatever it is that is revealed, in Jesus’ Name. (PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL CHALLENGES ARE AS A RESULT OF DISOBEDIENCE).
8. Pray that the Lord exposes and uproots anything in us that was planted by the devil – bitterness, lack of forgiveness, hatred, sickness, disease, disappointments and fear, in Jesus’ Name.
9. Pray that the Lord will deliver us from our enemies and make these enemies fall before us, in Jesus’ Name.
10. Pray that our eyes are opened to everything distracting us from living the life that God has called us to live, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
