TGD
Etiquette Session.
Good day ladies, so glad its our first anniversary, its
been God,we celebrate His faithfulness.
Our focus for today's Etiquette session is Good
Listening.
You wonder any big deal in listening? There is a whole
lot and I believe we can all learn together as this is a strong basis for
communication. Communication in itself involves give-and-take. Talking is only
half the process; there can be no meaningful exchange without listening.
Here is some helpful advice for when you find yourself in
a conversation:
* Look the person in the eye to show them you are
attentive. Don't get distracted by other people or things around you.
* Smile to express interest ( unless the topic dictates
otherwise)
* Use interjections (once in a while) to spur the
conversation: "wow"; " oh no" "really"
* Nod your head to indicate that you understand what the
other person is saying.
* Don't interrupt or try to finish someone's thoughts.
* Don't yawn or fall asleep.
* Don't look at your watch or look across the room.
* Don't fidget or move around.
Kindly help with more information on good listening or
topics you would appreciate we discuss in future session.
Thanks for reading.
