I learnt an important lesson yesterday, and I'll like to share it with you. #CoveringMyFaceAsIAmTypingThis
Be warned!!! It is a long read.
Yesterday in church, they announced that all women should wait behind after service. I had many plans for my sunday afternoon, so I was grateful that I wasn't married which was an excuse for me not to wait behind. As service closed, my unit head told me we were going to have a meeting (OMG! This man had killed my plans). Anyway while I was having my unit meeting (the other women had been excused so they could be at the women's meeting), I looked into the women's meeting and saw a lady younger than me, married with a child, eating the snacks that was served at the meeting. Somehow, I just felt sad that a younger lady was at the meeting (eating the snacks) because she was married and I am not. I kinda felt jealous #YouseewhyIcoveredmyface.
Next thing I saw an older lady, who is unmarried, in the meeting and I believe the Lord rebuked me. I made a choice not to be at that meeting. and it's not the lady's fault that I'm not married.
Now the lesson! Strife, envy, jealousy are choices. You can choose to be grateful for where you are and what you have and be genuinely happy for those that have what you desire. Also love and gratitude will save you the stress/sin of envy.

GOD's DWELLING PLACE ---My Body, Your Body
Oluwafolakemi Ibidokun
" I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvellous are your works and my soul knows very well"
~ Ps 139:14 NKJV
This excerpt of the Scripture confirms that you and I are the handwork of God, His works are marvellous and that you and I are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made by God.
If so, then the onus lie on you and I to show forth this marvellous work of God by taking very good care of ourselves. As much as we care for our spiritual lives, it is also imperative for us to take good care of our physical, cosmetic appearance in this wise our SKIN.
God Almighty has given us a wonderful body, formed our frame and in His wisdom has made the SKIN the largest organ in the human body, it is a matter of priority therefore to take very good care of our body, particularly our skin. We should therefore give it the attention it deserves. There is absolutely no SUBSTITUTE FOR A BEAUTIFUL SKIN. You may gab yourself in designer labels but without a beautiful skin, you're definitely cheating and short-changing yourself.
BASIC FACTS ABOUT THE SKIN
● It helps to heal wounds
● It helps to maintain body temperature
● It helps to prevent water loss from the body
● It protects the body from environmental damages, among others.
Naturally speaking, as we grow older, our skin also ages. Thus, this give rise to two types if skin ageing:
● INTRINSIC AGEING: This is attributable to the inherited genes and natural ageing processes.
● EXTRINSIC AGEING: This is caused by environmental and external factors such as weather, hot water and pollutants etc
SKIN TYPES
The human skin is categorised into 4 basic types; these include:
● NORMAL SKIN: This is a healthy skin which contains a balance of oil and moisture, it has a soft sheen. It's considered normal because it adapts to weather changes.
● DRY SKIN: The surface of this type of skin is scaly and flaky; lines are easily formed, especially around the eyes. It's prone to experience dehydration on frequent basis because it lacks natural skin oil. This skin type is sensitive to both high and low temperatures.
● OILY SKIN: This skin type is coarser in texture and more prone to breakouts, clogged pores, pimples, blackheads and blemishes but tends to wrinkle less.
● COMBINATION SKIN: This is the combination of both oily and dry skin, it's a combination of two extreme skin types, usually there are visible signs of oiliness in the T- zone and dryness on the cheek.
It is essentially important for us to identify the category that our skin falls into in order to know the appropriate skin care product to use
STEPS TO GOOD SKIN CARE
Having a good and flawless skin; requires you eat a balanced meal at all times, including fruits, nuts and veggies. Drinking water as much as possible and in addition to these by following the routines enumerated below. These are:
● CLEANSING: Removes make up and impurities, this refreshes the skin.
● EXFOLIATING: Provides gentle exfoliation for smoother skin and helps it to regenerate and renew itself.
● FRESHNING: Improves skin texture by clarifying the complexion and soothing it.
● MOISTURISING: Leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. It seals in the moisture and helps maintain a well balanced skin moisture
● PROTECTING: This process evens the skin tone. It helps to protect it from the harsh environmental factors and gives the skin a flawless look.
In conclusion, for a vibrant, radiant and flawless skin, it is essential you identify your skin type and thereafter gets the skin care products that best suit your skin and follow the above highlighted steps.
Don't settle for just any product and always remember that the products which suit one may not suit another because we have different skin types.
GET IT RIGHT!!
I hope this blesses you.

Quit worrying
Oyeladun Ayorinde
14/01/2015
This issue of 'worry' is a tool of the enemy to make us lose
focus and look away from God.
But like every other tool of d enemy, it can be destroyed.
It is said that worry is 30% of past, 60% of future and 10%
of present.
So how do we handle it?
(A) Forget the past -Phil 3:13.
(B) Jesus says 'take no thought of tomorrow'- Matt 6:34
(C) Finally, Mark
11:20-22 (1st Phrase in vs 20 and last sentence in vs 22) - 'Now in d
morning,---have faith in God'.
If we learn to live by these scriptures, we'll definitely
overcome worry.
God bless you.
It is just a shadow

Psalm 23:4--- Though i walk THROUGH THE SHADOW of death, I
shall fear no evil:
It's not death but a shadow.
The shadow is insignificant.
The shadow of a Dog can't bite, the shadow of a sword can't
kil
Where there is a shadow, light must be near.
You're walking through in Jesus’ Name.
Have a blessed week
Jesus makes the difference.

Two donkeys were strolling in Jerusalem when one of them
said. "Just yesterday I was passing here carrying JESUS, and everyone was
singing and I was even stepping on their clothes... and today not even one of
them recognizes me".
The second donkey looked at him for a while then responded,
"My friend in this world without Jesus you are nothing!!!!"
God bless you..
FEAR THE LORD

Proverbs 19:23-- The fear of the Lord leads to life and he
who has it will abide in satisfaction;he will not be visited with evil(NKJV)
This verse is loaded. We'll do ourselves a lot of good if we
can only fear ( trust, reverence, obey, honour, love) the Lord.
We'll ALWAYS be satisfied (no lack of any good thing).
Evil will NEVER be able to come near us.
What a good way to live, but it all began wth fearing the
Lord.
Let's leave this demon consciousness and focus on fearing
this God. Our lives will definitely become better.
(Or what do u think?)
Sleep well.

How to Get a Job in Nigeria's Labour Market
Omobolanle Adeyemo
11/01/2015
I have often heard people say that jobs are hard to get in
Nigeria. Infact, many people are been forced to go into business because there
are no jobs. Yet, I am also of the opinion that Jobs don't just drop on
people's laps. They are searched for. They are sought after. Truth is there are
many people who can do what you can do, even better. Many people who have
better presentation of skills you have and who are academically more qualified
than you. However, only few really get jobs in Nigeria. Why?
First of all, before anything, get your purpose right.
Where's your calling? What organization(s) would propel you on such course? If
you don't know where you are going, all job offers would appear as great opportunities
to you. The truth is that, you can't work everywhere even if you get all
offers. Many people keep applying everywhere. To me, such people lack purpose.
Concentrate your energy to seeking applications in prospective organization
where it'd be profitable for you in the long run.
Two, once you know what organization fits your skills and
qualifications, usually, they are more than one, reach out to them. Apply
through their application portal. Send a mail. Reach out to somebody who works
there and let them know of your interest in getting a probable offer with them.
Even if you are rejected, truth is, you tried. After your application has been
sent, don't wait for them to call you. Pick up your phone and give them a call.
Until you are told you can't be offered employment, don't give up just yet.
Some organizations have strict application procedures where
you have to go through their application portal and apply, while for some, you
just have to know someone who knows someone to submit your CV. In such cases,
it would not be bad to contact the Management committee themselves and express
your interest in working with them. Let them what skills you've got and how you
fit into their organization. Also important are what they do and how your skills
align with the particular job role. Are you scared of sending a mail to any of
the Management committee? Then you don't need a job yet.
LinkedIn is also a good networking platform to showcase your
skills and particularly reach out to contacts who work where you desire to be.
Ensure your CV and cover letter are rich enough to make them want to give you a
listening ear. Also ensure your LinkedIn account is rich and well presented.
Before anyone would give you a call or send you a message for a probable job
meetup, your profile would speak for you. A HR officer in a Multinational
organization shared how she privately sent a message to a guy whose profile was
so rich. Although he failed the interview for reasons best known to him, that
was an opportunity that presented itself on a platter of gold.
I also remember using my LinkedIn account to get contacts of
those who worked in my dream prospective organization. Infact, I could be very
daring sometimes. I sent a message to the Head of HR who requested that I send
my CV to him. He confirmed my age and location though. I was called for a test
and subsequent interviews. Though I did not eventually accept the offer, I had
choices and it was also an organization I had applied countless times in the
past without even been considered for a test.
Please tell everyone who cares to listen that you need a
job. Many of us are good in hiding our needs. We act like everything is fine.
Remember, if you are too scared or shy to tell somebody you need help, don't be
surprised if everyone seems to show no care. Tell people. Tell people who you
think can help. Walk up to people and introduce yourself. Tell them what you
can do and how your service can be of help to them. Have your CV and covering
letter handy. Follow up on such people. It is never bad to request for help.
Pray for God's favor! Nothing skips protocols like the favor
of God. God's favor makes people go out of their way to help you. It makes you
meet the right people at the right time. It gives you preferential treatment
and allows you get the right information.
Realise that it actually sometimes takes time to get a good
job in this Nigeria wey we dey so, you would agree with me. Don't give up, keep
at it. The most important thing is that you do something different this year.
Don't expect jobs to knock on your door. You've got to be proactive and search
for them!
NB: Please if you have more tips, share. You could also
share how you got your own job.

When I was growing up (Still growing, anyway), anywhere I
entered in our town of residence, once I mentioned my dad's name, I became the
centre of attraction. My class teacher once punished me in school alongside
others because, according to him, we didn't sweep the classroom. I told him I
swept my portion of two rows but he wouldn't listen. He caned me and my hand
got swollen. When I got home and dad saw my hand, he screamed and asked me
what happened. I told him, and the following day, he used his complimentary
card to pen some few words to my teacher. All he wrote was: "Kindly let me
know what this girl stole in school to have warranted such treatment that
resulted in the disfiguration of her hand."
When I gave the card to my teacher, I smiled as I watched
him go purple in the face. He wrote two sheets in response to dad's two lines.
Then he started pleading with me to help him tell dad it was not intentional
and that he was sorry he punished me alongside the rest despite my having
fulfilled my part of the responsibility.
That was the last day he or any other teacher laid a finger
on me in that school.
That was my earthly father's "covering".How much more that of my heavenly Father?
You've got a heavenly Father who wants to throw His weight
around for your sake.
Greater is He that's in you!
You are not fatherless!
Don't live in fear!
Maximize Your sonship!

The earth belongs to Him and the fullness thereof...

Fear! Fear of the unknown, fear of the devil, fear of
enemies, fear of unfriendly friends (add more to the list).
There are so many fearful people around these days...and
there is a lot to fear... Diseases, unemployment, insecurity etc.
Jesus talking about the last days said men's heart will
fail them as a result of fear. If you're looking for a reason to be fearful,
you won't have to look far...
Job said "For the thing which I greatly feared is
come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in
safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came." (Job
3:25-26).
You need to be afraid of fear... Someone said fear is
False Evidence Appearing Real. Those we call achievers are not those that did
not feel the onslaught of fear. They succeeded because despite the fear they
felt, they chose to look to the mighty God that gives us strength to prevail.
The Psalmist says "For Thou wilt light my candle:
the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by Thee I have run through a
troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect:
the word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in
him." (Psalm 18:28-30).
How do we escape fear?
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for
in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:" (Isaiah 26:3-4).
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world." (John 16:33).
The issue is not the surrounding circumstance; it's what
you let in that sinks the boat.
Sisters, let us pray...
Dear Father, I
pray for my sisters and I that we are anxious for nothing. Rather, we learn to
bring all that concerns us to You by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.
Thank You, Lord, for Your peace that passes all understanding will permanently
reside in our hearts.
Lord, I pray specifically for whatever it is that may
seem so hard that we are prone to fear about it. Thank You, Lord, for setting
us free from fear and worries, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Have a blessed and productive day.

Good day ladies. How has the day
been? There is an interesting story in Exodus 8:8-10.
Moses asked Pharaoh when he wanted
the frogs gone from the land of Egypt; Pharaoh said 'TOMORROW'. Why not today?
Pharaoh did not take advantage of the grace available for today, he postponed
the day of his visitation. Selah!
Let us pray...
1. Pray that the Lord grants us life
and favour and that His visitation preserves our spirits (Job 10:12)
2. Pray for wisdom and discernment
so that we know the day of visitation and are prepared (Luke 19:44)

the 'Gentiles' (unbelievers); that though they speak against us as evildoers,
they behold our good works and glorify God in the day of visitation (1 Peter
2:12).

Psalm 141
Pray for yourself AND members of your household
1. Thank God for the opportunity He
has given us to call on Him and to stand in the gap.
2. Pray that our prayers and
thanksgiving are acceptable unto Him. Pray that whatever stands as an
obstacle/hindrance to our prayers are cleared out of the way. If any of us have
sinned, we ask for mercy and grace.
3. Pray that God will help us bridle
our tongues, watch what think and say.
4. Pray that every ungodly
association is destroyed, in Jesus' Name.
5. Pray that our hearts are open to
rebuke and reproof that turn us back to the path of righteousness, if and when
we stray from the path.
6. Pray that even in the challenges
we face either as consequences of our own wrongdoings or as a result of the
activities of evildoers, the Lord does not give us over to death. Pray that we
and members of our household will not experience cases of untimely death.
7. Pray for those mourning the loss
of loved ones, that God will comfort them in the way only He can. Pray that the
Lord will surround them and deliver them from the terrors of death.
8. Pray that God keeps us from the
snares and traps set by evildoers.
9. Pray that the wicked will fall
into their own nets, while we pass by in safety.
10. Pray that our eyes remain fixed
on the Sovereign LORD. Pray that we learn to take refuge in Him even as we deal
with thorny issues.
Father, we thank You for the
opportunity and priviledge to call upon Your name. Lord, You asked us to call
upon You and You will answer and show us mighty things which we did not know.
In consonance with Your word, Lord, we have asked. Dear Lord
Answer us.
Refresh us.
Renew our strength.
Guide us.
Protect us.
Defend us.
Vindicate us.
Exalt us.
Prune us.
Build us up.
Impart us.
Change us.
Deliver us from the evil one and his
agents.
Preserve us.
Establish us.
Prosper us.
Give us songs of victory.
In Jesus' Name we've prayed, Amen.
