Prayers for our husbands (and future husbands)

Shall we pray for our hubbies this morning, sisters?

Father, I and my sisters have come to you this morning, to lift our men up to you.

Firstly, we want to appreciate you for giving us such great and fantastic men as our husbands. Thank you for these wonderful gifts you have brought into our lives. Thank you for making them so unique and extraordinary. Thank you for making them so different and outstanding. Thank you for giving us men like none other. Thank you for giving us men that are incomparable with other men. Thank you for giving us just what we need. Thank you for blessing us with so much in just one man. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. Thank you.

Lord, we ask today that you cause our men to walk in the fullness of what you have prepared for them and prepared them for. We ask that they walk in the fullness of who you made them to be and all you made them for. We ask that you empower them, strengthen them, encourage them and enable them to be everything they should be for you, your Kingdom, for us, for our children, for the family and for the world at large.

Wherever they have missed it in time past, we ask that you restore their understanding and reinstate them to their rightful place and position.

We pray that they be firm in their faith and conviction in you, even as they stand alert and on guard, being fully aware of the devices of the devil.

We ask that they will not be moved to speak, act or conduct their affairs based on sentiments, feelings, pressures or emotions. We ask that they will be obedient only to your will and carry out your injunctions alone. We ask that they will live worthy of you.

We ask that our men will operate in spiritual wisdom and understanding as they go about their daily lives; both within and outside the home. We ask that they will be receptive of your instructions, counsel and guidance at all times. We ask that their spirits will not respond or yield to the voice of strangers but only to you and your word.

Father, we pray that our husbands will not fail in their responsibilities as the spiritual heads of our home. We pray that they will not fail in their responsibilities as the provider for our home. We pray that they will not fail in their responsibilities to defend us, care for us, love us, protect us, and encourage us to be everything you made us to be.

Father, we pray that our husbands would reflect your love to our children. We ask that you help them to raise our children in the tender nurture and training, discipline, counsel, and admonition of you, Lord. We also pray that they would be worthy examples and models for our children to emulate even as they reflect you in their dealings with them.

We pray for every prodigal husband. Father, we ask that you bring them back to their senses. Open their eyes and cause them to see how they have been unfaithful to the marriage covenant. We ask that they realize the height from which they have fallen. We ask that you help them come back to life. We ask that you touch their hearts. We ask that you help them see where they've missed it and gone wrong. We ask that you empower them to make the decision to repent, come back home and begin to do things right.

Thank You Lord for always hearing us.

In Jesus' ever-productive name we have prayed...

Amen.
