So, you are trusting God for divine intervention of some
sort in your body. You have prayed over it and you are trusting God for a
miraculous touch. Should you take some medicine? Is that not 'helping' God?
In 2 Kings 20, Hezekiah was sick and at the point of death.
The prophet gave Hezekiah a word from the Lord that the sickness was UNTO
DEATH. What? Prophet of doom, be gone from us....Lol. Hezekiah prayed and God
reversed Himself, wow. Fantastic story here that has inspired so many people
and will still inspire more till the Master returns....
That's not the gist of my post, though...
My focus is on 2 Kings 20:7. I noticed this verse only a few
months ago. I have read 2 Kings 20 a lot of times before that.
Anyway, in 2 Kings 20:7, Isaiah asked them to prepare a
poultice of figs which was applied to the boil that was supposed to kill
Hezekiah. Can you imagine ordinary boil killing somebody? Uhm…. Praise God, he
recovered.
Common headache has killed some people! They refused to take
drugs that were not formulated by herbalists....They don't want to 'help' God
so they want God to wave a magic wand and heal them. God can heal without a
medium and God can heal with a medium. The key thing is to ensure that your
faith is not in the medium but in God! Don't close a door God has opened
because it does not look like how you expect God to answer you. That's how the
Jews missed the Messiah!
The bottom line is 'What is the Master saying?'
Have a blessed and productive day...
