Let Your Light So Shine

Some believers, when confronted with their unwholesome behaviour, are quick to tell you 'God sees my heart', 'The Lord knows those that are His' etc.
I have been meditating on Matthew 5:14-16. Let's read...

Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither... do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16 (MSG)
Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

According to 2 Peter 2:9 (AMP), you are to 'set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.'
You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.
We are the ones to reveal God to our world...

Romans 8: 17-19 (KJV)
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8: 17-19 (AMP)
And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and [a]for us and [b]conferred on us! For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].

For your information, the working of miracles is also a good deed...

Saint of God, let your light SO SHINE...That's what God wants and hey, the world is waiting...
Have a blessed day.
